Our mission is to prevent Lyme and other tick-borne diseases and to diminish the long-term consequences patients with these infections often face.

Our goal is to provide high quality educational materials on Lyme disease and other tick-borne illness to a wide audience. Most of the information on this site is intended for the general public. You'll also find articles explaining a specific topic in greater scientific detail or others which are meant to meet the needs of a specific user group.

Our intent is to offer you new insights on these diseases by highlighting promising research, discussing established concepts from a new perspective or connecting facts in ways that haven't been previously considered. We may reference information that's available from other sources but won't duplicate it here.

Our information is scientifically-based. This means our materials build on established scientific principles and disease-specific evidence. We won't blur the line between facts and conjecture; when we suggest a new theory or offer an opinion, we'll clearly label it as such. Because the scientific understanding of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases continues to evolve, our materials will be updated as new information becomes available. At times, we'll leave the purely scientific realm and discuss the relationship between tick-borne diseases and patient autonomy, informed consent, high-risk occupations, and health care policy.

Our products are designed to carefully explain Lyme and other tick-borne diseases to patients and their family, friends, teachers, employers and, in some cases, physicians or other health care professionals. We offer live presentations on a wide variety of topics and can build custom presentations to meet your specific needs. Our DVDs were specifically developed to explain the details of Lyme disease to a general public audience, using terms and language that most people will understand. Our initial efforts focused on creating products that would increase your understanding of tick-borne illnesses and allow you to easily share this information with others. Now we're working to expand our site-based information. Tell us which specific topics you want covered. Email questions about tick-borne diseases to us and we'll post answers to some of them here.
